Old Skool Sneaks

I love when trends from my childhood come back around. The old skool vans take me back to a time when my friends and I were riding our bikes around the neighborhood until the street lights came on. My favorite thing about them? They are so versatile. Throw them on with pants or with a summer dress. Shop the look below!

Vintage Plaid

Any time I type “vintage” into Tumblr I’ll blink and hours have passed by.  Tumblr is so underrated, people post the weirdest and most interesting things on there. Anyway, I’m loving the plaid walking the streets lately. My favorite setup? A white tee, plaid blazer, a nice pair of denim and a pair of leather loafers. Also, it’s another excuse for me to go vintage shopping over the weekend.

Athleisure on a Budget

I’m all about the athleisure look – it’s all I run around in on the weekends. But the full tracksuits can be pricey. So I decided to piece it together – a jacket from here, pants from there. It’s worked pretty well and *surprise* no one else has the same tracksuit that I do. I found Missguided has really cute and unique athleisure pieces. I got this jacket from there and linked some other ones below. I’m patiently waiting for this look to be acceptable to wear allll week long.

Florida Diaries.

Do you have a destination that feels like a second home? Mine is Florida. It’s one of the few places I can land in and feel 100% comfortable. I grew up taking family vacations in Florida often, and then as I grew older friends and family moved there. It’s a nice little 2 hour flight to a warmer, slower state. The views of the palms aren’t bad either. This trip we ventured to a little beach town called North Redington – between St. Petersburg and Clearwater Beach. A quick weekend getaway to Florida in the middle of the frigid temps at home was just what I needed.

The Parka I’ve Been Living In This Winter

The weather here has been brutal this winter- I’m talking single digits. No choice but to layer up as much as you can when you walk out of the house. I got sick of wearing my black puffer jacket every. single. day. so I decided to do some shopping for a warm-but-fashionable jacket. I found this jacket on ASOS – it’s great because it’s warm but also modern. Huge pockets, big hood, quilted inside. It’s actually on sale right now for $54! I linked in below also with my new Everlane jeans and Nikes. Warm up!

Green Velvet

Sometimes the photos do all of the talking. I mean, how beautiful is this color? As of recently I’ve added “beautiful velvet couch” to my living room wish list. One day. Maybe it’s the holidays, but I just love the look of a dark green velvet blazer.

‘Tis the season: 10 gifts for under $25.

I rounded up 10 of my favorite gifts that are under $25. What a steal.

City Glasses Case
Everyone has glasses or sunnies. My favorite part about this gift is that the cases are city-themed. Have a friend in NYC, loves LA or just made a trip to Paris? There’s one for each.
ASOS Scarf
I’ll argue that scarfs are great gifts for anyone. ASOS has beautiful, affordable scarfs.

Madewell Pouch
I love the minimal print of this Madewell pouch. Perfect for an everyday makeup bag or travel pouch.
Glossier Face Paint
Okay, so it’s no surprise I love Glossier. But, I’m telling you, their products are gift-worthy. Not only do I personally use them every day, but each online purchase comes with fun stickers and their signature pink, bubbly bag.

Whiskey Stones
UncommonGoods is a goodie for unique, personal gifts. They have chillers shaped in golf balls, hockey pucks and nautical whiskey stones. Perfect for any hobby.

Vintage Earrings
I love these vintage-looking earrings from Urban Outfitters.

“Cool Enough” Sleeping Mask

Too cool for words.

Bath Salts
These bath salts are a great gift from someone on your list that needs some R&R.

Cat Person Mug

I love, love these mugs from Anthropologie. There’s a mug for every type of person: dog, cat or people person.

Camel & Cord

I’ve been really inspired (both myself and potentially my living room) by the vintage corduroy and camel coats walking the streets lately. Also, I miss just having plain ol’ fun in Photoshop so I decided to mess around a bit.

What’s On My List This Year.

For once, I’m not scattered, throwing things on my list last minute, sending off links to my loved ones. I’ve actually had a handful of things on my list that I’ve been eyeing for quite a few months. Not only is my list ahead of schedule, but I’m almost finished shopping for my family and friends. Yes, it’s a miracle. See below for some of the things on my list this year.

Nike Classic Cortez

Can you ever have enough sneakers? I’ve been eyeing these for a while, I love the black and white contrast and their unique shape.

Everlane Jeans

Back to the basics. I’ve been hearing great things about Everlane jeans so I want to give them a try. Preferably in all colors.

Nude Sneakers

I told you I wanted more sneakers.. but seriously.

Classic Black Leather Strap Watch

I barely ever wear something on my wrist. I love the idea of throwing on a classic, leather strap watch every day.

Striped Cigarette Pants

My favorite thing about these pants is that they are both professional and super comfy. You can dress them up or dress them down; sneakers or booties!

Statement Blazers
I love the bold statement of a colored or patterned blazer. Perfect for work. This mustard-colored one from Mango especially caught my eye.

Shoe Dog By: Phil Knight

I’ve heard this book is inspiring – I’m all about reading books about successful people and how they got there.

Glossier Moon Mask

Trying new face masks is one of my favorite pastimes. Glossier is one of my favorite beauty brands and I’ve been eyeing their moon mask.

The Five Minute Journal
I’m that person that reads those articles listing the best ways to be productive or increase efficiency. The Five Minute journal has tons of success reviews and has been featured in HuffPost and Business Insider. I’ll give it a try.

The products that manage my crazy, wavy locks.

When I was a baby, my family had a nickname for me: hair head. Yes you read that right. Over the years, I’ve become extremely grateful for my thick, wavy head of hair. I won’t lie, I still have those days where I envy the girls that can walk out of the shower and their pin straight hair dries beautifully on their walk to work. Surprisingly, there isn’t much information out there on how to manage my type of hair. I’m thankful that my aunt is a phenomenal hairdresser and after testing tons of products, I think I finally have them down.

There are days when I rely on hot tools, but when I let my hair dry naturally I use the below products. For all of you hair heads out there, I hope at least one of these products helps with your hair routine like they do mine. I linked them below!
