Throw a sweater over it.

I think the “throw a sweater over it” look is my favorite one yet. I love how easy long dresses and skirts are and just throwing an oversized sweater on top makes it one of the most comfiest, yet effortlessly chic, looks for the fall.

Perfect Pants.

Do you ever find those perfect pair of pants that are both comfortable and flattering? Well, I’ve found mine. I recently discovered Everlane’s wide leg cropped pant. I love the current trend of relaxed, wide fit pants rather than the typical skinny shape. I can’t wait to transition them into fall and swap my slides for booties. I’m sure I’ll be living in these for a while. The best part? They come in seven different colors.

Low Bun for Summer

Even though summer is coming to an end, we’re still seeing 95° days in the forecast. My hair is thick and at times unmanageable, throw in the high temps and humidity we’ve been dealing with and it’s nearly impossible to just let my hair down. So, all summer long, I’ve been pulling my hair back in a low bun. Aside from it being out of my face, I love how it gives me an excuse to put on big hoops or statement earrings. Any other creative hairdo ideas to deal with the heat?

An LBI Getaway.

Growing up in a beach town, sometimes a vacation not too far from home with the sound of the waves and my feet dug in the sand, is exactly what is need to recharge. 4th of July was a week spent doing just that, surrounded by people I love and taking it all in. Sometimes a local vacation is the best vacation.

Sunny City Strolls

There is something about summer that entices me to purchase some bold, bright pieces. These pieces hide in the back of my closet 3/4 of the year but once it hits summer I’m all in. The style of these flowy dresses are perfect for that summer heat walking through the city streets. It’s the perfect summer combo.

A Bold Side Stripe

I live for the weekends when the only plans I have are grocery shopping and brunch. Weekends where I can lounge around and where an outfit that is just as comfy as it is chic. During the week, you can frequently find me in all black. Which is why I love this color palette. The black with pops of royal blue and white. I highly recommend Asos, they have a variety of fun track pants: skinnies, flared, slips up the sides and loads of colors.

Weekend Uniform

If you catch me on the weekend, you’ll probably find me wearing something similar to the below. Vintage jeans and a tee. Minimal and comfortable. I found these Calvin Klein jeans from a local Jersey City vintage store, Very, but I linked some similar styles. I absolutely love Brandy Melville tees, affordable staple pieces, wearing one of them below. It’s so hard to find quality, affordable tees, Brandy Melville is one of my go-to’s, any other favorite favorites I should check out?

Light Layers

I long for the days where I can walk out the door with a light jacket to go over my outfit. To me, those are the perfect kinds of days. I feel them coming justttt around the corner. Which is why when I saw this duster at a local vintage shop I had to grab it. That’s one of my favorite things about vintage shops. You can find something from decades ago that has made it’s way back on trend, but it’s very rare that someone else will have the same one. Do you shop vintage? What are some favorite pieces you’ve found?

Details for Spring

Even though it snowed this morning, I’m committed to shopping for spring. To me, spring shopping means lightening up my wardrobe a bit, grabbing for the white tee instead of the black one, the nude pants instead of the ripped black jeans. There are some staples I definitely wanted to snag for the spring/summer: white sunnies, a good white tee, a nude lip, a straw purse and a colorful bandana. Shop below.

Jewelry Worth Wearing on Repeat

In the morning there is always one million things to do, so it’s nice knowing I usually have one thing figured out: my jewelry. Sitting in my jewelry tray I just grab my stack of rings, my gold hoops and I’m out the door. The rings specifically have almost become a part of me, the off chance I forget to grab them my hands feel naked. Specifically, I wanted to point out these stacked rings below. Not only are they stunning (and affordable) but I love that I can play with them stacking them with different rings each day. & lastly, my Grandmother passed down that bold black-stoned ring to me – I love the statement it makes against the smaller, daintier rings.
